Everfield Acquires Lithuanian Field Service Management Leader Frontu, Signaling Growth in the Baltics

2024/10/16

European long-term investor Everfield has made a strategic move into Lithuania by acquiring Frontu, a leading field service management (FSM) provider. This marks Everfield’s first acquisition in Lithuania and strengthens its presence in the Baltics, where the tech ecosystem has been rapidly expanding.

The Frontu team

Founded in 2013, Frontu offers a cloud-based platform that helps businesses manage service and maintenance operations more efficiently. With a presence in 16 countries and a customer base that includes industry giants like John Deere and Hitachi, Frontu has emerged as a key player in the FSM space across Europe. This acquisition will enable further growth and expansion, particularly within the industrial equipment sector.

Lithuania, and particularly Vilnius, has become a tech powerhouse in the region. With its robust digital infrastructure and growing talent pool, the country provides fertile ground for companies like Frontu to thrive. The acquisition by Everfield highlights Lithuania’s appeal as a hub for innovative software solutions and reinforces its importance in Europe’s tech landscape.

Frontu’s CEO, Arūnas Eitutis, remains optimistic about the future: “With Everfield by our side, we’re ready to expand our leadership in the FSM market across Europe. Lithuania has been instrumental in supporting our growth, and we see even more opportunities on the horizon.”

The acquisition is a success story not only for Frontu but also for Lithuania’s B2B tech sector. Early-stage VC fund Open Circle Capital, which invested in Frontu when the company’s revenue was under EUR 30k, has seen a nearly 400% growth since its involvement. Such success stories underline Lithuania’s vibrant startup ecosystem, where companies can scale rapidly and attract major international investors.

This acquisition also signals growing interest from European investors in Lithuanian companies, solidifying the country’s reputation as a tech-forward destination. Everfield’s decentralized approach allows Frontu to maintain its local operations, ensuring that the team continues to grow while benefiting from broader support within Everfield’s ecosystem.

As Vilnius continues to emerge as a leader in digital innovation, acquisitions like this demonstrate the city’s role in driving technological advancements in the Baltics and beyond.
